Team Structure
To maximize our team’s efficiency and the application of each member’s individual skills, we have divided the work we do into specific departments with a hierarchy of roles. Read below to learn more about the team organization that allows the Rambots to function like a well-programmed robot.

Team Captains
The Team Captains are responsible for running Board of Directors meetings, communicating information to the rest of the team, and representing the team in negotiations with sponsors and at events. The Captains allow for smooth cooperation between all departments and clear communication between team members and mentors.
The Logistics Lead is responsible for maintaining, ordering, and organizing supplies, parts, and tools for the team. They are also in charge of ensuring all necessary materials are brought to each competition. They report to the Team Captains.
Logistics Lead
Director of Design and Technical
The Director of Design and Technical is responsible for coordinating robot designs, leading the design process, and all technical aspects of FIRST Robotics Competition. The Director also coordinates workshops and skill badges to ensure that team members are prepared for the season. They report to the Team Captains
Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer takes the robot designs created by the team and coordinates and executes the fabrication of parts and systems. In this position, they are responsible for maintaining tools and stock for the various machines. They report to the Director of Design and Technical.
CAD Lead
The CAD (Computer Aided Design) Lead is responsible for managing CAD designs for the layout of the robot before the parts are made, ordered, and assembled. The CAD Lead also designs custom parts that cannot be ordered to fit the team’s specifications. They report to the Director of Design and Technical.
Scouting Lead
The Scouting Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining the team’s scouting plan. During competition season they will ensure the scouting schedule is maintained and also help consolidate scouting reports for alliance selections. They will also have input into the selection of teams. They report to the Team Captains.
Board of Directors
Director of Media and Public Relations
The Director of Media and Public Relations oversees all publicity and team related media, the team website, and social media accounts. Some areas may include posters, recordings of competitions, banners, and the respective year’s team shirt and uniform designs. They are also responsible for maintaining the team image, identity, and team spirit at the competitions. They report to the Team Captains.
Social Media Manager
The Social Media Manager is responsible for maintaining and posting to the team's social media platforms. They keep a constant team presence for sponsors and the public. They report to the Director of Media and Public Relations.
Business Manager
The Business Manager is responsible for coordinating fundraising, fundraising events, and communicating with sponsors. They are also responsible for making sure the team’s business plan is followed and all items in the plan are carried out. They report to the Director of Media and Public Relations.
Webmaster
The Webmaster is responsible for maintaining and updating the team website. They have the final say in website decisions, but work in conjunction with all team members to make sure the website is inclusive and represents the team. They report to the Director of Media and Public Relations.
Safety Captain
The Safety Captain is responsible for coordinating, transporting, and tracking safety materials for the team. They conduct safety inspections and seek guidance from mentors when needed. They also ensure that every team member abides by the necessary safety guidelines when at meetings or competitions. They report to the Team Captains.
Director of Programming and Electrical
The Director of Programming and Electrical is responsible for the coordination of the robot’s programming and electrical systems. They report to the Team Captains.
Competition Media
The Videographer is responsible for producing and editing videos for team use and maintaining content for the team’s YouTube channel, “Rambots: Behind the Glass.”. For example, the team's YouTube series is produced by the Videographer. They report to the Director of Media and Public Relations.
Electrical Lead
The Electrical Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining a coherent wiring layout for the robot. They are an expert in the wiring of FRC robots and have the final say in wiring decisions, focusing on both the functional, and aesthetic appearance of the electrical system. They report to the Director of Programming and Electrical.
Programming Lead
The Programming Lead is responsible for writing, developing, and maintaining the code for all of the systems on the robot. They have the final say in the competition robot code and can override all other team members in this area. They report to the Director of Programming and Electrical.
